Are you ready to learn about successful ways to achieve social inclusion through education for ages 2-120?

LEF has the pleasure of hosting Lithuanian education specialists from the Kaunas district Education Centre together with S.A.F.E. Projects. They have expressed their will to learn how LEF, within the Leiden Kennisstad Agreement, makes educational knowledge exchange and collaboration happen by playful interaction.

Head of S.A.F.E. Projects, Živilė Navikienė, PhD in Social Sciences (Adult/Youth Informal Education), will share her valuable academic insights on the role of Erasmus+ in reaching Social inclusion through international cooperation. The Lithuanian education specialists will share their expertise on U3A’s (Universities of the Third Age).

All initiatives increase academic accessibility and sustainability for all generations.

 

In this session:

• We inspire each other as educational professionals
• We exchange successful stories from educational initiatives from Leiden and Lithuania that increase academic accessibility
• To explore together that living in harmony with yourself is something that we can enhance by making education accessible for the young, middle-aged, and elderly.
• You will learn what Third Age Universities are and how they contribute to a healthy society.

Summary

Did you know the concept of sustainability relates to much more than the environment? Sustainability also means: living in harmony with yourself and your (social) environment. Sustainability reveals itself at different levels (personal, organizational, local community, country, and worldwide). To be able to reach harmony with your life, it is essential to have access to education, no matter how young or old you are.

This session highlights at least two highly successful sustainable initiatives that increase this sustainability by increasing a sense of harmony. One is the Leiden Education Fieldlab, which mostly focuses on the teachers from pre-school to university. A group of dedicated teachers from Lithuania will highlight the very successful Universities of the Third Age in Lithuania for citizens of ages 55+. This helps the senior citizens be happy, engaged, and healthy.

Open Meet-up: Leren voor jong en oud

Duurzaamheid verhogen door academische toegankelijkheid.

Casestudies: LEF over het spelenderwijs bereiken van sectoroverstijgende samenwerking en het Litouwse Kaunas district Onderwijscentrum over Universities of the Third Age (U3A’s).

Ben je klaar om te leren over succesvolle manieren om sociale inclusie te bereiken door onderwijs voor de leeftijden van 2-120?

In deze sessie:

– Inspireren we elkaar als onderwijsprofessionals
– Wisselen we succesvolle verhalen uit van Leidse en Litouwse onderwijsinitiatieven die academische toegankelijkheid vergroten
– Onderzoeken we samen dat leven in harmonie met jezelf iets is dat we kunnen versterken door onderwijs toegankelijk te maken voor álle leeftijden.
– Je leert wat Third Age Universities zijn en hoe ze bijdragen aan een gezonde samenleving.

Samenvatting

Wist je dat het begrip duurzaamheid betrekking heeft op veel meer dan alleen het milieu? Duurzaamheid betekent ook: leven in harmonie met jezelf en je (sociale) omgeving. Duurzaamheid manifesteert zich op verschillende niveaus (persoonlijk, organisatorisch, lokale gemeenschap, land en wereldwijd). Om harmonie met je leven te bereiken is het essentieel om toegang te hebben tot onderwijs, hoe jong of oud je ook bent.

LEF heeft het genoegen Litouwse onderwijsspecialisten van het Kaunas district Education Centre samen met S.A.F.E. Projects te ontvangen. Zij hebben aangegeven te willen leren hoe LEF, binnen de Leiden Kennisstad, kennisuitwisseling en samenwerking mogelijk maakt door middel van speelse interactie. Het LEF richt zich met name op leerkrachten en docenten van kleuterschool tot en met universiteit.

Hoofd van S.A.F.E. Projects, Živilė Navikienė, PhD in Sociale Wetenschappen (Volwassenen/Jongeren Informeel Onderwijs), zal haar waardevolle academische inzichten delen over de rol van Erasmus+ in het bereiken van Sociale Inclusie door internationale samenwerking.
De Litouwse onderwijsspecialisten zullen hun expertise delen over U3A’s (Universities of the Third Age). De U3A’s helpen 55-plussers en senioren om gelukkig, betrokken en gezond te blijven.

Alle initiatieven vergroten de academische toegankelijkheid en duurzaamheid voor alle generaties.
